A Tribute to Else Marie Pade explores the life and work of the trailblazing composer and electronics pioneer. Celebrated as the “grandmother of electronic music”, Pade was the first person in Denmark to make music using electronics
Barely acknowledged her lifetime, she was a musical pioneer who significantly shaped the sound of electronic music. A member of the Danish Resistance and imprisoned by the Gestapo during WWII, Pade would have celebrated her 100th birthday on December 2nd. The event is rounded off by the award-winning documentary »Sound on Life « with an insight into the artistic work and life of the pioneering composer.
