Ensemble Kompopolex

Founded in 2017 in Wroclaw, the Kompopolex ensemble is primarily committed to new, bold works, often swapping their instruments for cables, keyboards, dance, or singing. The trio is composed of percussionist Aleksandra Gołaj, accordionist Rafał Łuc, and composer and electronic musician Jacek Sotomski. Over the years, they have appeared at Poland’s major new music festivals, including Warsaw Autumn, Sacrum Profanum, and Festival of Premieres. From the very beginning, the ensemble has collaborated with the young generation of Polish artists, including Piotr Bednarczyk, Nina Fukuoka, Kuba Krzewiński, and Monika Szpyrka, as well as composers who have already gained international recognition, such as Cezary Duchnowski, Neo Hülcker, and Jennifer Walshe. Apart from working as a trio, the members of Ensemble Kompopolex perform solo, in chamber ensembles, and in symphony orchestras.
